Things To Consider For An Outdoor Wedding

An outdoor wedding venue is any venue that has outdoor space to celebrate your wedding day in. Whether that’s space for a romantic outdoor wedding ceremony only or if there is enough space to host your reception out in the open air also. Be sure to tell your guests if you are having an outdoor weather so they can dress appropiately too!

As Outdoor weddings are on the rise, i personally love the idea of them, however there are a few things to consider, for example. .

The Weather: Unfortunately the weather is very unpredictable and it is not always guaranteed that your wedding day will be dry or sunny. It's also really important for you to consider a back up plan if the weather is wet and miserable. You need to take into consideration that many venues may charge extra for outdoor weddings and they will not refund you or change your planning, your ceremony will have to go ahead regardless of the weather. If you get lucky and have wonderful weather, be sure to make sure everyone is protected by placing umbrellas outside for your guests to take shelter from the heat. I would also consider water for your guests outside if the weather is bright and sunny to keep everyone hydrated as lets face it, being sat outside in the blistering sunshine for 30 minutes may not be very comfortable for your guests. Make sure to apply SPF suncream for maximum protection or leave a bottle on the side for guests to help themselves too also, if they need it. Umbrellas will also give guests the option to take shelter if the weather does turn miserable too! If you're wedding day is within colder and wintery months, i would consider an indoor wedding, to be on the same side however you choice is always down to you!

Your Venue: When choosing your venue for an outdoor wedding, be sure to look for a location that plenty of space for your guests to be seated comfortably as is easily accessible especially if any of your guests have pushchairs, zimmer frames or wheelchairs. If your wedding venues does not have enough seating for outdoors, be sure to have the back up plan of renting or hiring extra chairs or benches if the venue does not provide them. Your chosen venue may have the most beautiful backdrops outdoors however your venue may not have additional decorations, be sure to ask your venue if they do have any decorations that they include, if not, you have the choice to dress up your outdoor seating with your own decorations to make it even more aesthetically pleasing.

Your Bridal Hairstyle: Having an outdoor wedding may sway you to decide if you want to have your hair down or to consider an updo. Again, reflecting on the predictability of the weather, you may run the risk of having your hair blowing around everywhere which may prove difficult especially when having your photographs taken. It is always best to trial your hairstyles and what you would be happy with on the day especially if you are considering an outdoor wedding. Wearing a veil may also run the risk of blowing around if the weather is not suitable on the day, little things to consider when you are considering an outdoor wedding.

Wearing Heels: If you are wearing heels on the day, be sure to make sure that you have a back up plan of purchasing heel protectors to make sure your heels do not sink into the grass on your big day. Heel protectors are placed on your heel to create an even flat surface for you to continue to wear your heels with better stability and balance.

Working With Your Photographer: The beauty of outdoor weddings is that they can provide some of the most beautiful photo opportunities which is why it is important to work with your photographer on the day especially if the weather takes a turn for the worse. Your photographer will be on hand to help you if it does prove to be difficult weather conditions, this is where the umbrellas come into hand also, you can create a gorgeous arty shot of you and your partner standing or walking underneath the umbrella.

Your wedding day preference is simply your choice whether you wish to consider indoor or outdoor, regardless of if the weather does not go accordingly, be sure to enjoy the day, live in the moment and not let the littlest details ruin your mood.
