Hi! My name is Chris Francis. I am a documentary photographer that specializes in Weddings and Travel / Street Photography. I like to capture real moments and frame them with skill and timing. I have a passion for storytelling within wedding photography and enjoy delivering a set full of beautiful natural moments that celebrate your wedding day from start to finish. I do not have time limits and provide high quality storytelling albums to cherish the images of your wedding day.I like to keep group shots to a minimum and prefer to produce natural candid images of your guests. I also like to make bride and groom portraits in the locality of your wedding to get those epic shots.

”As soon as we decided to set a date for our wedding, I knew there were 2 things I wanted to spend a little bit extra for the budget. One was my wedding dress and the other the photographer. It was easy (ish) to find the dress but the photographer bit was more challenging. There were so many on the Internet and we went to a few wedding fares, saw a few adverts in wedding magazines it was hard to chose. Some weren’t available, others were way too expensive, then all of a sudden I came across Chris’ website. I loved the concept of documentation photography and story telling rather than standing in unnatural poses where everyone has aching jaws after smiling so long all day! From the photographs to reading reviews, I had everything crossed that Chris would say yes to this bride to be! Thankfully he did, we had a few email conversations and then finally met him for our pre wedding shoot. On a personal level, Chris is one of those people you meet who you instantly get on with and feel like you’ve know them for a lifetime. He’s full of energy, enthusiastic and passionate about his job, yet on your wedding day you hardly notice him there. From a professional perspective, he’s just that, very professional. The photo shots of our day are amazing. They were all presented in a lovely album which told the story of our wedding from my Dads house right up until the last dance. Throughout the pages you can feel the emotion and the best bit of it all was that Chris shows you what he thinks should go in there and then you have your choice. There’s no hard sell for other products available but he’s in the know if you do want something else like canvasses. ”Very pleased with the end results from Chris being our wedding photographer. We could not have selected a better guy for the job. It was a very big wedding that I had with around 350 guests. The registry, Hindu wedding and the evening reception party was all on the same day! As you can imagine there was lots going on, and a number of significant moments to be captured in which Chris did a fantastic job at doing. The day goes so quick that you are unable to absorb everything, thankfully to Chris I have an incredible wedding album to look back and reflect on my special day. With 350 guests it is hard to organise people and especially to take pictures of the close family members. However Chris managed to do this with familiarising himself with the family in the morning and throughout the day. Chris is a really easy guy to work with and will try his best to accommodate you even if what you are asking for is nearly impossible he will make it possible! It is great to get reviews and I ask all my clients to do this when they have some spare time and in their own home so that they are completely honest. Here are a few things my clients had said about me and my photography. ”We chose Chris to photograph our wedding in July, it was definitely one of the best decisions we made! Chris is so friendly and relaxed, he blended right into our wedding and it was just like having one of our friends there! We felt very strongly about not being torn away from our guests for a long time to have photos taken so Chris did a few formal shots which didn’t take long at all! All of the pictures are amazing and captured perfectly! I live in Cardiff with my wife which is a great base for travel anywhere in the UK, Europe or the world!

What do I actually get?
You get a skilled and passionate photographer that loves documenting wedding celebrations, has a passion for street photography and documentary photography. My aim is to make images that celebrate your wedding day and tell the story in great images.
I provide all the fully edited images from the day at 15'' long at 300ppi.
All images are provided on a personal password protected web gallery and by digital download upto 8 weeks after the wedding date.
Travel is included upto 50 miles from Cardiff. Please ask for quotes for weddings further afield.
