Elliott is usually the one behind the camera and for him having our wedding photographed was a BIG deal, as he is not one for posing. However, Lucy captured all the natural and true emotional moments throughout the day. Lucy is my cousins fiancee, who stepped in quite last minute from being a guest to being our photographer when ours went bust! She had no problem doing this at all and was extremely helpful and chatty about the whole thing. She turned up early on the day to take snaps of the venue and the groomsmen, and worked well through the day late into the evening. She was flexible with what we asked, and even came out mid meal to take some brilliant shots in the fields as the sun was setting. The photographs came on a lovely heart usb which was presented beautifully with a little wooden box, ribbon and a tag. We even got a handmade Christmas card! These arrived the next day after she said she’d posted them. And well the pictures, we couldn’t have asked for better ones. They are absolutely gorgeous (and she even left in a few cheeky funny ones..since we’re almost family) . The lighting and settings she used gave a romantic glow to it, she took some low exposure shots of the old barn which were amazing and they all really complimented our rustic autumn theme and barn venue. We are not professional models, but Lucy guided us to make the positions and made us feel relax when taking photos. Also Lucy is good at editing photos, we like the colours and special effects on the photos, just like a poster. Highly recommended.
How would you describe your style
I would describe my style as natural and heartfelt with a bit of direction during the bride and groom shots. I take lots of candid shots throughout the day and absolutely love capturing emotion and interaction. It’s the real moments that count and I strive to tell a story through my imagery. I also love capturing all the little details & decoration that you have spent hours planning and envisioning.
Do you have insurance
Yes absolutely! I am fully insured for public liability and professional indemnity.
How far in advance do we need to book you
Certain dates are more popular than others, particularly during the summer months so I would advise to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. That’s not to say that I won’t have your date available so it’s always best to get in touch as I may just still have your date free. I have been booked under 2 months before the wedding date for a summer wedding in the past, however if I am already booked I will be sure to recommend you to another fabulous photographer whom I have a personal relationship with.
