I'm Nigel Sheppard, owner of Ever After Films. My love affair with film-making began in 2004 when I started making short films. The first short film I made came in the top 10 in a worldwide short film competition, and subsequent films also picked up various selections for screenings. In 2009, a short film I wrote, shot and co-directed won 'Best Film' in a competition as voted for by several big studio directors and producers.In 2012 following the birth of my son, I stepped away from film-making temporarily to enjoy some family time, however in 2013 I created Ever After Films with the intention of turning my passion toward creating beautiful cinematically styled wedding films. In early 2016 I was given the 'Highly Commended' award in the Bristol & Somerset Wedding Awards, an accolade I was immensely proud to collect, and now continually strive to improve and succeed further.
When one of the most important days of your life comes around, I want to ensure you have a lifelong motion picture to show off to family and friends, and especially to those loved ones who are unable to make it to the wedding. Based in Bath but covering the South West and beyond, I would love to film your wedding for you. The time, money and effort you put into your biggest day means you should have memories of it to treasure. Once the last drop of champagne has been drunk, and the last piece of cake gone, those treasured memories are all you'll have left. Wedding films are becoming an increasingly popular way of immortalising one of the biggest occasions of your life,because it allows you to relive the magic time and time again. The vows, the speeches, the dancing, the moments that define your day. Don't let those memories fade.

Where to start... as photographers we were keen to get the best person to video our wedding and having worked with Nigel at a wedding we knew he was the man for us. He is professional, yet relaxed, he involves himself with the group which is key to making them feel at ease. Our marryoake video is absolutely brilliant and we are so pleased we decided to add this part on to our day. Excellently executed and everyone had a lot of fun making it. Why should I have a wedding film?
Good question. You already have a photographer, and perhaps an uncle with a video camera, so why hire a videographer too? Well, photographs are usually excellent, and it's very important to have them, but a wedding video is intended to compliment your wedding photos, not replace them.
Your photographs look beautiful but can they let you to replay your vows to each other over and over again? Or revisit the touching words of your loved ones as they tell stories about you to your teary-eyed guests? Will your uncle be able to capture the faces of the happy couple as they stare into each other's eyes, or professionally edit the footage together in a manner that fully tells the beautiful story of your big day?
Wedding films are becoming more popular every day, and most married couples who do not have a wedding video regret not having it in later years.

How do I book?
Fantastic choice! If you would like to discuss having your wedding/civil ceremony filmed, get in touch by phone or email to check availability for your selected date, and to discuss your wedding or civil ceremony plans. We'll then arrange an initial consultation to meet and go over exactly what you are looking to get from your video. Also it may be beneficial for me to visit the venue before the event, and to attend any rehearsal to enable me to make final plans for the day, however I want to be as unintrusive as possible therefore this is entirely dependent on your wishes.
After the consultation, if you wish to go ahead, you will need to pay a deposit of 25% of the package price to secure the booking. The deposit is payable by cash, cheque, bank transfer, or PayPal and is non-refundable unless, in the highly unlikely event, that I have to cancel your booking. Should this be the case, your deposit will immediately be returned in full. The remainder of the balance is then due 14 days before the wedding date.
Are you insured?
Yes. I have a £2,000,000 public liability insurance policy, in the unlikely event that something goes wrong. I've never had to use it, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
Can I pay by instalments?
Absolutely. Once the deposit is paid, you can pay the balance however you choose - bit by bit; a fixed amount each month; or all in one go. It's up to you. I just ask that your package is paid for in full 14 days before the wedding.
