What NOT To Do On Your Wedding Morning
Article Published 01/06/2023
Its your wedding morning! The day has finally arrived. After all the preparation and planning, its time for you to start making the day the most memorable and enjoy every moment. However, there are some things that you may want to take into consideration on your wedding morning to avoid any unnecessary stress or to ruin your mood.
Here are some tips on what to avoid on the morning of your wedding:
Don’t forget to keep your wedding accessories altogether in a safe place. You don’t want to waste time looking for your veil, accessories, shoes or anything else that you need for your wedding morning. Ideally once you get to your venue where you will be getting ready, lay all of your accessories out ready, this will give your photographer chance to take photos without disturbing you or your bridal team. Once your hair and make up is complete, your accessories, dress, shoes etc will be there for you to change straight into.
Although you may be feeling nervous and may not have much of an appepite- Its important to make sure that you have something to eat, even if it is small to make sure you line your stomach. Be sure to drink plenty of water to keep hydrated as skipping meals make infact make you feel worse, nauseous or even faint! Avoid alcohol if possible, caffeine (although i appreciate if you are a coffee drinker- maybe consider a very small one), greasy stodgy foods and sugary drinks that could dehydrate you or make you feel jittery. Fruits are ideal to give you that boost of vitamins or a balanced breakfast.
If you have gone eco friendly and designed or created any DIY elements within your wedding, such as decorations, make sure that they have been completed well in advance and not left right till the last minute. Do not attempt to finish them on your wedding morning as this will create unnecessary stress if they are not complete in time. The morning should be spent by you relaxing and staying as Zen as possible. If you do have any last minute little tasks, be sure to delegate to a family member only if you have time.
Don’t get a massage, wax, facial, or other intense beauty treatment close to or on your wedding day. You don’t want to risk having a breakout, having redness or soreness on your big day. As relaxing as pamper sessions are always be sure to book these a week or so before the wedding morning to avoid these risks.
You would not believe how many people actually do this but i will reirritate the importance of not doing this one thing, don’t practice your vows for the first time on your wedding morning. The best thing that you can do is to try and finalise your vows a week or even longer prior to your big day, you should rehearse them before your wedding morning. Whether you wish to rehearse your vows alone or infront of a close friend or family member, the choice is down to you and however you feel most comfortable. Avoid making any changes to these on the wedding morning as this will again cause unnecessary stress.
If you have bought new wedding shoes, be sure to break them in well in advance before the big day. The chances of you wearing new shoes for the first time on the day is a very high risk that they could become uncomfortable, cause you pain or blisters.
Remember you cannot control the weather. Do not let the weather put you in a bad mood and ruin the excitement of the day. Your vendors and planner will handle any issues that arise so always remain calm, enjoy the moment and have the most mogical day celebrating love for one another.
